Frequently Asked Questions

Privacy & Security

Absolutely. PxlBatcher is a “client-side” application. This means 100% of the image processing, resizing, and metadata injection happens directly in your browser’s memory. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers, ensuring total privacy for your proprietary or client assets.

No. Since the images never leave your computer, we have no access to them. Once you close your browser tab, the session data is cleared.

To keep things fast and private, your presets are stored in your browser’s Local Storage. This allows you to access your custom settings every time you visit the site without ever needing to create a centralized account.

SEO & Metadata

PxlBatcher allows you to inject industry-standard EXIF and XMP data. This includes:

  • SEO Keywords/Tags: Specifically mapped to the Subject and XPKeywords fields.
  • Descriptions: Embedded directly into the image file.
  • Geotagging: GPS coordinates for localized SEO.

Yes! While many tools struggle with WebP metadata, PxlBatcher uses the Extended WebP (VP8X) format, ensuring your SEO tags and GPS data are correctly embedded and readable by Google and other search engines.

GeoTagging & Location Data

PxlBatcher allows you to manually enter coordinates or search for a location to embed GPS metadata into your images. This data is written into the industry-standard EXIF and XMP blocks of your files, which helps search engines like Google verify the local relevance of your content for “near me” searches.

No. We do not track your physical location. Any location you search for or coordinates you enter are used only for the purpose of tagging your images during that specific session. Because we don’t use a “Find My Location” auto-track feature, you have total control over what data is embedded.

We use professional-grade mapping APIs to ensure your coordinates are precise. When you search for an address or business name, the app retrieves the exact Latitude and Longitude to ensure your images are perfectly “pinned” for Local SEO.

Yes, because you are in the driver’s seat. Since the app doesn’t automatically scrape your current GPS position, you only add location data when you explicitly choose to. Furthermore, because processing is local, the address you search for is never linked to your personal identity on our servers.

Speed & Performance

Traditional tools require you to upload files, wait for a server to process them, and then download them back. PxlBatcher skips the “upload/download” cycle entirely by using your computer’s own processing power. It’s as fast as your hardware allows.

Yes. PxlBatcher is optimized for volume. You can drag and drop dozens of images and apply complex SEO metadata and resizing constraints to all of them simultaneously in seconds.

Usage & Compatibility

While you can view the site on mobile, PxlBatcher is optimized for desktop use. Batch processing and file management are most efficient when using a mouse and a keyboard.

PxlBatcher uses essential functional cookies to remember your preferences and manage your presets. If you block all cookies or use an aggressive ad-blocker, you may find that you cannot save presets or use the “Share Settings” feature.

Because the app runs in your browser, the only limit is the amount of RAM available on your computer. We recommend processing batches of images up to 10MB each for the smoothest experience.

Collaboration

If you are a lead developer or SEO strategist, you can configure the app exactly how you want your team or client to use it—including Max Dimensions, File Formats, and specific GeoTagging coordinates.

Clicking the Share icon generates a unique URL. When your coworker or client opens that link, their PxlBatcher instance will automatically configure itself to match your exact specifications. They will then be prompted to save these settings as a “Preset” for future use.

No. To maintain our “Privacy First” promise, the settings are encoded directly into the URL itself. We do not store your configurations, coordinates, or keywords in a database. This means the link is private to whoever you choose to send it to.
